“Invest in women: accelerate progress”
Rangers, biologists, mushroom harvesters… Meet the women who work in Gilé National Park, a 439,000-hectare jewel of biodiversity co-managed by the Fondation François Sommer and the Mozambican government. On the outskirts of the GNAP (Buffer Zone and its Coutada), the harvesting and commercial sale of mushrooms helps to reduce deforestation while benefiting hundreds of women in local communities who obtain an additional income.Find out more about the NTFPs project (Non-timber forest products) managed by the biologist Celina Lupaka, co-financed by AFD – Agence Française de Développement (French Development Agency) under the direction of the FFS-IGF and Anac Conservação.

Fiscais, biólogas, apanhadoras de cogumelos… Estas são as mulheres que trabalham no PNAG, uma joia de biodiversidade de 439.000 hectares co-gerida pela Fundação François Sommer e pelo governo de Moçambique.Na periferia do PNAG (Zona Tampão e sua Coutada), a recolha e venda comercial de cogumelos contribui para a redução da desflorestação, beneficiando centenas de mulheres das comunidades locais que obtêm um rendimento.
