Progress achieved through the PROMOVE Biodiversidade program

We are thrilled to share the incredible progress achieved through the PROMOVE Biodiversidade program!
Thanks to the program’s dedicated support, local agricultural production has received a massive boost.
Musseia community and local families are seeing tangible benefits that balance community development with biodiversity conservation. Key achievements include
🌾 6 local milling machines installed for processing maize and cassava;
🌱 Provision of essential agricultural supplies to enhance value chains for crops like maize, sesame, beans and peanuts;
🌳 Specialized cashew tree spraying to improve cashew nut quality and commercial yield.
As Mrs. Maria beautifully shared in her testimony: “With the support of PROMOVE Biodiversidade, we can now produce more, process our products, and ensure better conditions to sustain our families and educate our children.” When local livelihoods thrive, our natural ecosystems win. By strengthening local value chains, we reduce the pressure on our forest resources, ensuring a sustainable future for both our community and the rich biodiversity of Gilé National Park.
