Dear Friend of Gilé National Park,
Since a new year has begun, we want to share with you the latest events of 2025:
🤝The Director General, Project Coordinator and the Director of Pôle Nature at Fondation François Sommer (FFS) recently 2 meetings with the Director General of Administração Nacional das Áreas de Conservação (National Administration of Conservation Area). These discussions are a part of negotiation of a new co-management agreement;
👩🏾⚖️GNAP participated in a series of training conferences led by our partner Biofund. The sessions focused on environmental and labor legislation to ensure a better understanding of the rights and duties of our dedicated staff;
⛑️The Department of Community Development (CDD), in coordination with our partner Nitidæ , successfully completed a First Aid course. Held by the Mozambique Medical Society, the training benefited 5 field technicians who were equipped with specialized first aid kits;
☮️The 6th of November was International Day for Prevention of Exploitation of the Environment in Wars and Armed Conflicts. GNAP remembers that conservation cannot wait for peace, it must be part of building it. Nature is the silent victim of war;
