We are glad to share with you the latest updates:
✍️Fondation François Sommer in partnership with Administração Nacional das Áreas de Conservação are carrying on the negotiation of a new 10-year agreement;
📡GNAP participated in a seminar, organized by ANAC in Maputo, highlighting how new technologies (like GPS collars/animal tracking) are effectively used to monitor wildlife and strengthen supervision efforts;
🔶🔹FACIM Participation: GNAP, managed in collaboration with the François Sommer Foundation, showcased its conservation successes at the 60th Maputo InteNewsletter November 2025rnational Fair. This included the repopulation of buffalo, biodiversity, key partnerships (Biofund, AFD – Agence Française de Développement), community development and using technology to fight poaching and illegal activities;
🤲🏾Community and Income: the NTFPs project, supported by the AFD, empowers women’s groups in the Buffer Zone (BZ) through the collection and sale of 🍄🟫dried mushrooms, which generates income and supports food security.
AFD have also provided support in improving the quality of the final product and in creating a marketing network for processed 🐌snails.
